My client Med, asked for a concept design for his new Malaysian restaurant, as part of the Battersea Power Station development. The concept evokes a Malaysian al fresco dinner along street hawker stalls. A theatrical installation of suspended lightboxes of hawker food signs reflect the restaurant’s multicultural menu of Malay, Chinese and Indian cuisines. A monochromatic graffiti mural forms a backdrop, featuring Med, the owner, cooking.
