“ What a completely marvelous exhibition, and what a mysterious one ”
- The Guardian ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

We designed the British Library’s blockbuster exhibition ‘Medieval Women: In Their Own Words’. The show celebrates the, often overlooked, rich and complex lives of the women of Europe during the Middle Ages by showcasing their own voices, visions and experiences. The exhibition features the narratives of women who were visionaries, writers, lovers and leaders from across the centuries.
The exhibition design creates an ethereal Medieval townscape for the story to unfold. As visitors move through the scenography, they encounter beautiful life-size silhouettes of the featured women and their voices. Multi-sensory interactives allow visitors to smell medieval cosmetics and olfactory interpretations of heaven and hell according to the visions of Julian of Norwich and Margery Kempe.
The show received 5 stars reviews from The Guardian and The Telegraph.
